Your first appointment will include a detailed vestibular assessment using Infrared Video Goggles performed by the physiotherapist to determine the most likely cause of your symptoms. You will be provided with education on your condition and an individualized home program according to your needs.

Her approach to rehab is centered around finding the root cause of the symptoms. Appropriate exercises specific for each patient along with education empower patients to establish realistic goals and allow them to take action towards self-management and recovery.

Cristiane has a special interest in dizziness, vertigo, head and neck pain. My experience in vestibular, neurological, and orthopedic areas allows me to identify if dizziness or balance issues are related to vestibular causes, neck problems, or other disorders requiring a specialist attention.

In addition to the work at CY Physiotherapy and Vestibular Rehabilitation, Cristiane has been working at the Neurovestibular (Vertigo) Clinic at South Health Campus since 2018 collaborating with various specialists to address the most complex cases of dizziness and vertigo in Calgary and surrounding areas.
